- Harold “Sonny” White’s Casimir experiments at the Limitless Space Institute (for DARPA) detected a nanoscale energy pattern resembling a theoretical warp bubble. It wasn’t propulsion, but a mathematical echo of Alcubierre’s warp geometry .  

- Miguel Alcubierre’s 1994 model showed that spacetime could theoretically expand behind a ship and contract in front, allowing apparent faster‑than‑light travel without breaking relativity .  

- Recent studies by Alexey Bobrick and Gianni Martire (2021–2026) propose warp bubbles that use positive energy instead of exotic “negative energy,” making the concept more physically plausible .

- No lab has produced a macroscopic warp bubble or measurable spacetime distortion.
